Tonight The Mister and I are babysitting for my niece and nephew. They have all both got horrid coughs and I can hear Eden over the monitor coughing away.
The Little Mister has a nasty cold too and he woke up in the middle of the night choking which was horrible because his cries sounded properly scared. He was utterly inconsolable for a while which was not a nice feeling. He is definitely not his usual self.
This cat belongs to my sister. He is called Rufus and is he gorgeous and loves cuddles but he really is a bit stupid!
Billy the cat spends a lot of his time sitting on top of the fish tank. It is lovely and warm and every now and then the fish get fed through a little hatch in the top and he can look through, and even drink out of the tank and dream about eating the fish.
He was less than amused when Mum put a plant on top of it and he appears to be expressing his disappointment by butting his head up against it as tight as possible. Stupid cat.
Yesterday my Aunt and Uncle popped in with a house-warming present for us. They gave us this lovely picture of a cat, snuggled up in a patchwork quilt. Two of my favourite things in the whole world and I love the picture. I just have to decide where to hang it in the house now!
Hurray! I have made it to the end of work and now I have a couple of weeks holiday and then I go on maternity leave! I have to admit that it was odd and a little bit sad to leave work.
Now, I am knackered. I hope I get a bit of a chance to rest before he makes an appearance, and yet I would like him to arrive as soon as possible! Here is The Mister practising his baby cuddling skills with Billy.
It’s been a very busy day at work and I am very tired tonight.
So, as ever when I am feeling lazy here is a gratuitous cat shot.
Doesn’t Billy look pretty in my new red and white spotty scarf?
Monday’s are becoming the day that I have to find an emergency photo because I have been really busy and I am often tired! As usual if I need one I resort of taking pictures of cats!
I think The Mister is practising his baby holding skills with Billy the cat. Admittedly Billy seems quite happy lying back and relaxing in The Mister’s arms and he will lie here quite contentedly for some time. Silly creature!
I spent this afternoon with my sister and my niece and nephew. We went to the cattery to look for more cats for us both and then we went for coffee. My sister has this gorgeous cat called Rufus. He has one tooth and is the most affectionate and daft creature I have ever met. He also is extremely fluffy and when Louise brushes him she seems to get enough fur off him to model a whole new cat!
Sundays should be all about relaxing, lying on sofas and watching crap TV.
Whilst The Mister and I lay on the sofas in the lounge Stef (or Pedro as I have started to call her – it suits her!) and Billy lay on the sofa in the conservatory.
Perfect peace on a Sunday.
I have felt absolutely knackered all day. I went to the car boot sale and then for a quick swim and after lunch I had a little sleep on the sofa. I haven’t had a day in ages where I have felt so tired and had so little energy.
So, what else do I photograph when I have run out of ideas, but Billy the lovely and stupid pussy cat?
It looks like a crime scene in the garden. All we need to do is get the chalk out and draw around the dead bodies. I suspect Billy is just pretending though. His eyes seem to be open!
