The Little Mister has been quite grumpy today after having had his third set of jabs yesterday.
He went for a long walk with The Mister this morning and then this afternoon we wandered through the lanes.
The lanes are bursting with flowers and all over the place there are signs of new life, celandines and primroses, as well as bluebells which are some of my favourite flowers.
It’s been a beautiful day.
I have had a really lovely day today. The weather has been beautiful and we have been out and about.
This afternoon The Little Mister and I went to the park to meet with the Ladies and babies. We did a couple of laps around the park and then we drank coffee. The park is looking gorgeous and the flowers are blooming. The building in the background is St John’s Residential Home.
The only downside of the beautiful weather is that we have realised just how fair The Little Mister is. He has a rather red face today and I feel like a bad mother for not realising the sun was warm enough to burn him. i am sure he will be ok.
It has been a beautiful, sunny and warm day on Guernsey. This beautiful plant is on the window ledge in my parents conservatory. I think it is a ranunculous and it is beautiful!
I have spent the day going to a carboot sale, walking with The Little Mister in the buggy.
This evening was spent at my sister’s house eating fajitas and watching crap TV shows with my Mum and my sister.
Life is good.
It feels like Spring has actually sprung today!
This morning The Mister and I walked up with The Little Mister to the animal shelter to see if they have any kittens. At the moment they have no young cats or kittens suitable for re-homing with a young baby which is a shame as I am desperate to get a couple of cats! If anyone knows of any available please let me know.
This photo was taken in my garden. I have no idea what plant it is but is the most glorious splash of vivid yellow.
It has been such a lovely day today and I have been pretty active. I walked to church which took about 45 minutes and then Mum and I walked back to my house after lunch.
We walked through the park and the flowers are looking gorgeous and this flower-bed had obviously recently been planted and it was so cheerful. Roll on spring!
Spring has sprung and these gorgeous crocuses have sprung up in our garden.
A busy day of washing, cooking and baking. All is good.
This morning I took The Little Mister to see the health visitor to get him weighed. He continues to stack on the weight at a steady rate and he gets more gorgeous every day. After that we went to meet my Mum, sister and her kids at the leisure centre and had a spot of lunch.
What caught my eye for a photo today though was these gorgeous sunny yellow daffodils which are in a vase in the lounge. Bright and cheerful against the grey sky, and a sign that spring is on the way. Hopefully this year we will have some decent weather!
Dad’s garden is starting to lose some of it’s sparkle and the flowers are starting to wilt and drop. This gorgeous purple hydrangea is starting to lose it’s good looks but I still think it is rather beautiful!
I slept really badly last night and as a result I have been quite grumpy all day. The Mister has a cold so he didn’t sleep well and then I had a sore back and was up and down all night. The next three months are going to be fun!
I was just sitting in the conservatory wondering what I could take a photo of today when I looked to my left and saw this beautiful plant. According to the tag stuck in the pot it is a Kohleria. It has gorgeous, subtle markings and is a lovely pinky colour. Very pretty.
My parents have a number of orchids in their conservatory. They seem to survive especially well in there and this is the most beautiful one they have at the moment. I think they bought it in St Malo in June.
This orchid is white, and huge and has flowered for several months.
It manages to look strong and delicate at the same time. Gorgeous!
