2012 Project365 (Day 267)

Cobo RainbowThe weather today has been completely unpredictable. One minute it has been glorious sunshine and then next minute it has been absolutely torrential rain. The Mister took a walk down to the post office and got caught in a shower but he did manage to capture this picture of a rainbow over Cobo Bay. A distinctly more interesting picture than any I took today as I was mostly stuck in the office!

2012 Project365 (Day 224)

Cobo swimmingIt has been a lovely the day. I decided not to go to church today as I wanted to watch the men’s Olympic marathon as a Guernsey boy Lee Merrien was running. He did really well.

This afternoon we had a barbecue and then The Mister and I went to Cobo beach for a swim. The sea was crystal clear but quite chilly and it was lovely. Perfect. Shame I have to go back to work tomorrow… only 4.5 days this week though and then we go on holiday. Yay!

2012 Project365 (Day 204)

Sunset swimmingIt has been the most glorious day today. Hot and sunny, and sadly I was at work. The Mister was working until 8pm and then we hot footed it down to the beach for a swim. Getting in was absolutely freezing, but once I had got over the cold it was absolutely lovely. We probably stayed in the sea for about 20 minutes.

Swimming under the most beautiful sunset is definitely one of the things that makes living in Guernsey wonderful.

2012 Project365 (Day 172)

Our visitorsI had a mega-busy day at work and then we took The Mister’s parents to see the new house (which we haven’t quite yet bought but I can’t be bothered to go into the saga!) so we went out for dinner tonight at The Rockmount. As always the food was good but it was very noisy.

We walked back along the coast and I managed to snap this quite picture of The Mister’s Mum and Dad. Of course his Mum won’t like this photo, but then again she isn’t keep on being photographed at all! I think it is a good pic of both of them.

2012 Project365 (Day 147)

The Mister and his PosseWe have had a busy day, starting with a little bit of photography at Yasmin’s Studio. Then we put up our small tent and waterproofed it as we are off to Sark Folk Festival in a few weeks (I can’t wait!!)

This afternoon we went to the beach with my sister and our niece and nephew, Eden and Barnabas. I have to admit that living back in Guernsey is bliss at times! The ability to go to the beach on a nice day and to sit there and watch the world go by is just lovely. My relationship with my sister has improved immensely since we moved home and it is just a pleasure to be here. I know that sounds smug, but it was a massive decision to move back here and it is lovely to feel like it is paying off!

Tonight The Mister and I are going to see a comedian, Rufus Hound which I am looking forward to. A perfect end to a perfect day!

2012 Project365 (Day 142)

The cold lightI once again ran out of time so scooted down to the beach on the way to choir to take a few photos of the beach. Unfortunately the light was getting colder but we hadn’t quite got to the point of the glorious pink sunsets that we have been having over the last few days.

I am hoping the the weather gets considerably warmer over the next few weeks. I am looking forward to starting swimming in this sea soon!!!

2012 Project365 (Day 86)

Beautiful sunsetI kind of forgot about taking a photo today so on my way to choir I popped to the beach and took another photo of the sunset.

It was gorgeous. The quality of the light was just beautiful but because I had to rush off I couldn’t stay and see the sun sink even lower and the colour get even more intenser. As I drove away it was even more beautiful.

What a privilege to live here.

2012 Project365 (Day 67)

Cobo SlipwayThe weather has been really bizarre today. Glorious sunshine one minute and then grey and drizzly and extremely windy the next.

After work I raced down to the beach as I could see it was going to be a glorious sunset. What I hadn’t banked on was the fact that the tide was coming over wall and it was really windy.

I took this photo with my iphone and I think it has come out reasonably well. I love the fact that the spray from the sea has made the beautiful granite slipway almost look sparkly. My lovely island looks beautiful, whatever the weather and whatever the temperature!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!
