It was a really nice wedding although when we came out we were all nearly swept off our feet as the wind was so strong!
We all had these lovely yellow roses for our corsages and it is now cheering up the kitchen table.
The beach looked lovely but I didn’t have the big camera with me to zoom in on a more interesting scene so instead I took a photo of these glorious flowers that are growing on one of the walls on my walk home.
It was a good day but I am tired. I now intend to sit on the sofa and watch crap TV.
Mum and Dad are on holiday in Israel at the moment which means that The Mister and I are in charge of tending his plants. This could be a disaster as inevitably I show much less concern that he does. Fortunately we have had quite a bot of rain over the last few days so we don’t have to worry about all the ones that are outside… so just the greenhouse ones to not kill off!
These gorgeous purple flowers are growing outside so have been well watered (what drought?!!) and I think they are going to look gorgeous when Dad finally pots them up in his hanging baskets!
Happy Easter everyone. I was going to post a picture of all the Easter Eggs that have been given to the family but I thought that was a bit excessive. I didn’t have a picture of a cross or anything religious either so I feel like a bit of a failure.
I went to church this morning (very nice, but where were the beautiful Easter hymns!) and then we had a delicious lamb roast with my parents, my sister and her family and my aunt and cousin and his better half. After lunch we thought we had better go for a walk to try and work off some of the food and these lovely daisies were just one of the flowers that I saw whilst we were out and about. There are load of primroses and daffodils and at times it felt like a lovely spring day but the wind was chilly.
It’s been a good day.
Today has been another beautiful day and this afternoon we had a business meeting. As about half the team was not in the office due to being on training or annual leave, so the rest of us took the decision to relocate our business meeting to the local garden centre tea shop.
We sat in outside, drank tea and coffee and talked business. Honest!
This flower caught my eye because it has the most perfect edging! Lovely, but I suspect the loveliness of the flower wouldn’t last too long.
DAFFODILS!! Jolly and cheerful and sunny yellow. I particularly like these little ones that are growing in Dad’s garden.
It is also International Women’s Day and apparently posting a picture of a flower is meant to represent what you would like to give to all your female friends. So, my lovely friends (men and women!) these flowers are for you….xxxx
I ran out of time and forgot that I had to take a photo today so I thought one of these would do nicely. They are such a beautiful colour with lovely pink edges.
I didn’t really notice how tatty the edges of the flower were until I looked at the photo on the bigger screen of my computer. I guess maybe we all look ok until we are in close up and then the slightly tatty edges are a bit more visible!
