The Little Mister has been quite grumpy today after having had his third set of jabs yesterday.
He went for a long walk with The Mister this morning and then this afternoon we wandered through the lanes.
The lanes are bursting with flowers and all over the place there are signs of new life, celandines and primroses, as well as bluebells which are some of my favourite flowers.
It’s been a beautiful day.
I have had a really lovely day today. The weather has been beautiful and we have been out and about.
This afternoon The Little Mister and I went to the park to meet with the Ladies and babies. We did a couple of laps around the park and then we drank coffee. The park is looking gorgeous and the flowers are blooming. The building in the background is St John’s Residential Home.
The only downside of the beautiful weather is that we have realised just how fair The Little Mister is. He has a rather red face today and I feel like a bad mother for not realising the sun was warm enough to burn him. i am sure he will be ok.
This morning I took The Little Mister to see the health visitor to get him weighed. He continues to stack on the weight at a steady rate and he gets more gorgeous every day. After that we went to meet my Mum, sister and her kids at the leisure centre and had a spot of lunch.
What caught my eye for a photo today though was these gorgeous sunny yellow daffodils which are in a vase in the lounge. Bright and cheerful against the grey sky, and a sign that spring is on the way. Hopefully this year we will have some decent weather!
It has been a glorious day in beautiful Guernsey and we enjoyed a nice barbecue at lunchtime.
After lunch Barnabas helped Grandpa with watering his garden. I think he may have greener fingers than his mother at this rate!
Dad has been working hard to get his garden ready for North Show judging. The garden is looking absolutely lovely and even the sun came out to help things along.
The judges came around today so we will have to wait and see the outcome. Eden appreciated the beautiful flowers though.
Dad’s garden is starting to look absolutely lovely. The vegetables are growing fast and the flowers are blooming.
One of my favourite flowers are Sweet Peas and there are loads of them growing up the fruit cage. To keep them flowering you have to keep picking them. So, almost every room in the house smells absolutely glorious with the sweet fragrance of Sweet Peas.
Sadly they die quite quickly once picked so we have to go and pick more!
As I was leaving the house I noticed that Dad had added a special plant to one of his hanging baskets. He appears to have planted a lettuce!
It’s a grey day and I am in a grey, weepy mood.
These daffodils are at least cheering me up slightly.
Maybe Spring will come and bring good things. I hope so.
This lovely cyclamen lives on my desk at work and brightens things up for me. I gave one each of these to my work colleagues… of course I didn’t pay for them… they fell of one of my Dad’s lorries! Shhh don’t tell anyone!
